Weekly Update

Hello,
I hope you are all enjoying this great weekend.

This week in all Culinary Art classes we have been collaborating with Ms. Hirepan and her Spanish classes in preparing for the “Festival of the Candelaria”. This is traditionally a Latin celebration which takes place on February 2nd. Our students have been making the masa and filling which will be used for their very own tamales. This week, we will be putting everything together to make a tamale. Because, the cook time for tamales exceed past our time in class, I will cook some off which they will be able to taste; however, they will be able to take them home for sharing with their families.

Please know, all assignments, assessments, presentations, and recipes are uploaded into our google classroom for everyone’s convenience. Also, anyone missing any work are encouraged to complete and submit for credit.
