Adv. Culinary Update

 In Advanced Culinary

Hello Roadrunners

This past week, our students in Advanced Culinary were challenged to create the dish for which they will present at the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. During this sample practicum, they not only prepared a sample dish, they were critiqued by their own peers in the class. Each student was tasked to provide constructive feedback which may elevate the dish and flavors of the dish.

Looking ahead, the Advanced culinary students will be challenged to inventory all items for the event on November 23rd and once again prepare the dish with its various changes.

Also, as we are quickly approaching November 23rd which is the date for our school-wide Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. A SignUp Genius has been created for This annual event which will take place on Wednesday, November 23rd. This annual event has our Advanced Culinary students being challenged to cook for the whole school community and their families. As it has been a tradition at San Tan, we look to continue this tradition; however, we look for the support of our community to ensure this is a success. Please be advised that all ingredients must be on hand by November 18th, 2022. This will allow the culinary students to inventory all food items and make any necessary adjustments. The link to the SignUp Genius is as follows; however, if you wish to donate monetarily you may do so at the main office of the Power Campus School:

Please help our preparations with your food donations by clicking on the link below:

I will continue to post as much of our classroom activities as possible on our schools/district Facebook page with photos and videos. So if you haven’t done so already, please follow us on Facebook.

Lastly, if anyone is interested in being a guest presenter or if you wish to donate to the San Tan Culinary program you may do so by contacting me at eramos@santancharterschool.com, or continue to look for our Donors Choose and/or SignUp Genius requests.

Thank you for all the support,
