Hello Roadrunners

This past week, our cadets prepared all week for our first promotion ceremony. 8 of our cadets were promoted to various ranks such as, Private First Class through Corporal. The ceremony was held in the school’s green gym and viewed by parents, administration, and various students from campus.

Looking into next week, the JROTC will continue to prepare for our first public performance since we have started. This performance will take place on Saturday, September 10th at 7pm (1900) on the football field. Continuing, we will begin working on various drill and ceremonies as well as, understanding what is citizenship and its responsibilities.

I want to also proudly announce that the American Legion Post 44 of Old Scottsdale, has donated $1000.00 to our JROTC program . In addition, they have chosen to adopt the San Tan Charter School JROTC program as the program for which they will begin to support in various ways.

Also, I want to thank you all for your generosity, because as you may already know, your donations and support allow us to truly delve into the curriculum in a way that allows our students to participate in activities they normally may not have the opportunity to do otherwise.
