San Tan JROTC Update
Hello Roadrunners
This past week, the cadets have been truly working on drill and ceremonies in preparation for their performance on September 10th. This performance will showcase their ability to move as a single unit and display discipline which is needed to be successful in any form of life. Our cadets continue to take on various leadership roles such as squad leaders, Cadet Platoon Sergeant, Color Guard detail, and many more. We have also delved into the San Tan JROTC Rank Structure as well as reviewing other knowledge needed to ensure retainment of information.
Looking ahead into next week, our cadets will begin preparing for our first promotion ceremony. This ceremony will highlight those cadets which have demonstrated their understanding of the JROTC knowledge, displayed leadership qualities, academic prowess, and an embodiment of our San Tan values. Cadets will be notified of who will be promoted and families are welcome to witness the ceremony of their cadets. In addition, as we continue to embrace the family concept, one family member will have the opportunity to “pin” (place) on their cadet’s newly earned rank.
I will continue to post as much of our classroom activities as possible on our schools/district Facebook page with photos and videos. So if you haven’t done so already, please follow us on Facebook.
Also, I want to thank you all for your generosity, because as you may already know, your donations and support allow us to truly delve into the curriculum in a way that allows our students to participate in activities they normally may not have the opportunity to do otherwise. Please continue to look out for our Donors Choose and/or SignUp Genius requests.
Thank you for all your support, ‘
Mr. Edwin Ramos, M.Ed.
