Hello Roadrunners,

This past week our students have immersed in their second (2nd) Thematic project. This project will challenge our students to not only research their favorite fast food restaurant but more so, research the items they typically order for its nutritional value. In addition to this, once they identify those ingredients they must reinvent the same meal; however, change it so it is more nutritious. During this project they will be working in groups of 2-3 people with each person in the group must have a different fast food with its meal. Also, they will create a poster board displaying their findings in the most creative way possible. This project should take us up to our Thanksgiving break. Once we return from the break, we will begin to build our garden and plant seedlings for our garden.

Also, as we are quickly approaching November 23rd which is the date for our school-wide Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. A SignUp Genius has been created for This annual event which will take place on Wednesday, November 23rd. This annual event has our Advanced Culinary students being challenged to cook for the whole school community and their families. As it has been a tradition at San Tan, we look to continue this tradition; however, we look for the support of our community to ensure this is a success. Please be advised that all ingredients must be on hand by November 18th, 2022. This will allow the culinary students to inventory all food items and make any necessary adjustments. The link to the signUp Genius is as follows; however, if you wish to donate monetarily you amy do so at the main office of the Power Campus School:

Please help our preparations with your food donations by clicking on the link below:
