FACS Weekly Update
Hello Roadrunners,
This week was filled with a lot of activities and teamwork. After our diversity unit, our students were challenged to work in small groups to create a homemade chili. This practicum was a two day practicum, as on the first day students were involved in prep work. On the second day, all students worked collaboratively in small groups to make the chili.
Next week, we will segway into our next unit on Ecosystems. This unit will allow us to understand how we depend on the ecosystem in order to survive as well as, how we utilize it to create fascinating and healthy dishes. In addition, they will create a Chef Salad with their very own vinaigrette.
I try to post our activities as much as possible on our schools/district Facebook page with photos and videos. So if you haven’t done so already, please follow us on Facebook.
Also, as we continue to grow this program we always are very appreciative of the support you give us and this program, and we always are accepting and appreciative of any donations you, the community provide us. Please continue to look out for our Donors Choose and/or SignUp Genius requests.
Thank you very much,
Mr. Edwin Ramos, M.Ed.
