Family and Consumer Science
This week in FACS we took a little detour from our syllabus and worked in small groups to make pizza and ended the week with calzones. This detour allowed us to build on communication and follow recipe directions in preparation for the upcoming week.
Looking ahead into next week, we will be focusing on preparation techniques and our practicum will be to make a Pico de Gallo with homemade tortilla chips.
As I always look to involve the community in the learning process of our students, if anyone has any planting soil and/or herbs or vegetables seeds or small plants and would like to donate them to the garden, we would greatly appreciate the support.
